Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the English department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.

• Provide professional development and support to English staff through instructional coaching and evidence-informed practice.

• Monitor and evaluate student progress to drive improvement and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, preferably in English.
• Strong subject knowledge in English and a deep understanding of curriculum design.
• Experience in leading and developing teaching teams.
• Commitment to evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

• Experience with reading for pleasure initiatives.
• Background in instructional coaching or professional development.
