The Opportunity:

As a School Principal, you will lead a high-achieving institution dedicated to inspiring young people and fostering leadership. You will drive educational excellence and create a culture of continuous improvement within a supportive and values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a clear vision for academic and leadership excellence.
  • Lead and motivate a dedicated team of staff and students to achieve outstanding results.
  • Manage school operations, including curriculum development, staff performance, and student welfare.
  • Foster a positive school culture that promotes inclusivity, character development, and social action.
  • Collaborate with the Star Academies network to ensure alignment with strategic goals and values.
  • Ensure compliance with educational standards and Ofsted requirements.
  • Drive improvement initiatives and monitor progress through data and feedback.
  • Engage with parents, the local community, and external stakeholders to build strong partnerships.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles, including as a Principal or Deputy Principal
  • Demonstrated ability to create and lead a clear vision for school improvement
  • Strong commitment to STAR values and a knowledge-based curriculum
  • Experience in managing a school with a leadership specialism

Preferred

  • Experience in faith-based or multi-faith educational settings
  • Background in leading schools with a focus on character development and social action
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and school improvement processes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of inspiring others
