Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging music lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4, including preparation for GCSE Music.
- Coordinate the delivery of externally provided music lessons across the school.
- Support the development of a vibrant musical culture through extra-curricular activities such as ensembles, choirs, and performances.
- Utilise state-of-the-art facilities including a dedicated music room, recording studio, and practice rooms.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design a curriculum that fosters creativity, confidence, and cultural understanding.
- Encourage student participation and provide support for individual and group musical development.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of enriching student lives through education, nurture, and inclusion.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience teaching music at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong commitment to inclusion and student development.
- Ability to coordinate and deliver music lessons across the school.
- Passion for music and the performing arts.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
Preferred
- Experience teaching some aspects of performing arts.
- Familiarity with music technology and software.
- Experience in leading or supporting extra-curricular music activities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
