Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students aged 11 to 16.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.
• Support the school’s Catholic ethos through teaching, pastoral care, and community activities.

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience of working in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
• Experience with pastoral care and student support.
• Experience of delivering extra-curricular activities related to English.
