Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students aged 11 to 16.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Support the school’s Catholic ethos through teaching, pastoral care, and community activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and dignity for all.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Experience of delivering extra-curricular activities related to English.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and resources in teaching.
