Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons that inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Support the school’s mission to let every student’s light shine through inclusive and challenging teaching.

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with the school’s values and curriculum goals.
  • Provide pastoral support and maintain strong, positive relationships with students and parents.

  • Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in science education.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a supportive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 or 4.
  • Background in delivering science education in a Catholic school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leading science initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
