The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective History lessons to students aged 11 to 16.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects the school’s Catholic ethos and academic standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and growth.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in History education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in History.
  • Experience teaching students aged 11 to 16.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in Catholic schools or faith-based education.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Leadership experience or a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with pastoral care and student support systems.
