Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire a love of English and literature.
• Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential through differentiated instruction and assessment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and review of the curriculum.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and support the induction of new teachers.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Relevant degree in English or a related subject.
• Experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

• Experience with the Early Careers Framework.
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience.
• Familiarity with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
