The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Science Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department committed to student success and innovation in teaching. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continued improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to departmental planning and development.
- Support students’ wider learning through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to maintain and improve teaching standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Contribute to the school’s culture of inclusion, equality, and safeguarding.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience in secondary education.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to teach across the curriculum.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to participate in training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Experience in creating and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring new teachers or participating in the Early Careers Framework.
- Experience with teaching in a multi-cultural and inclusive environment.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and a track record of contributing to outstanding inspection outcomes.
- Experience in using digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
