Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students of all abilities.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance student learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continued improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to departmental planning and development.
• Support students’ wider learning through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities to maintain and improve teaching standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
• Contribute to the school’s culture of inclusion, equality, and safeguarding.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience in secondary education.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to teach across the curriculum.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to participate in training programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Experience in creating and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Preferred

• Experience in leading or mentoring new teachers or participating in the Early Careers Framework.
• Experience with teaching in a multi-cultural and inclusive environment.
• Familiarity with Ofsted standards and a track record of contributing to outstanding inspection outcomes.
• Experience in using digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
