The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to students across a range of abilities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching and learning.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to enhance subject knowledge and teaching techniques.
  • Support the school’s Catholic ethos through teaching and pastoral care.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities for students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching A Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience with data analysis and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with using IT and digital resources in teaching.
