Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Foster a love of English through creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Support students in developing the skills and confidence needed for academic and personal success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum and extra-curricular activities.

  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified to teach and work in the UK.
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Genuine passion for teaching English.
  • Motivated and resilient with a commitment to achieving excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in a Church of England school or similar setting.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with the Mathematics Mastery programme or similar evidence-based teaching approaches.
  • Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular activities.
