Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and engage students
  • Support and mentor colleagues within the department
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure strong outcomes
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with other subject areas and pastoral teams
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage student participation in extracurricular and enrichment activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
  • Experience in Science teaching at secondary level
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred

  • Experience with mentoring or coaching colleagues
  • Background in professional development or leadership
  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Familiarity with teaching Science to a range of abilities
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
