Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons to students in the Prep School.
- Lead and support the development of English teaching across the department.
- Inspire a passion for reading and writing through innovative and creative teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the school’s curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning.
- Support the school’s values and mission through active involvement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and students to ensure a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching English at the Prep School level.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading a department or team.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation in teaching practices.
- Familiarity with digital tools and resources in education.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- A passion for co-curricular and extracurricular engagement.
