Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and engage students at all levels.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and support student learning.
  • Manage classroom environments that are safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of enrichment activities, including Science Week and Crest Awards.
  • Support students through pastoral and academic guidance where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the professional development of the Science department and wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with A Level or vocational Science courses.
  • Involvement in extracurricular Science activities or clubs.
  • Experience with pastoral responsibilities or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with the latest Science teaching resources and technologies.
