Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and engage students at all levels.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and support student learning.
- Manage classroom environments that are safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of enrichment activities, including Science Week and Crest Awards.
- Support students through pastoral and academic guidance where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to the professional development of the Science department and wider school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with A Level or vocational Science courses.
- Involvement in extracurricular Science activities or clubs.
- Experience with pastoral responsibilities or leadership roles.
- Familiarity with the latest Science teaching resources and technologies.
