Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Support the development of students’ literacy and critical thinking skills.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and music-related events as part of the school’s unique ethos.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Ability to teach across key stages and support student learning at all ability levels.
- Commitment to raising standards and fostering a love of English and literature.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department.
- Background in teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or literacy support.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology integration in the classroom.
- Experience in a school with a strong arts or music focus.
