The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Business Studies lessons that inspire students and promote a growth mindset.
  • Ensure the curriculum is aligned with the school’s faith-inspired and virtues-led approach to education.
  • Support the Faculty Leader in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Provide effective assessment and feedback to help students achieve better than expected progress.
  • Promote a culture of reading and real-world application to enhance student understanding of business and economic principles.
  • Contribute to the development of students’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural growth.
  • Support and lead interventions for students who require additional help.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including pastoral and extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Business Studies.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver an engaging and effective curriculum.
  • Commitment to the school’s faith-inspired and virtues-led approach to education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting student progress and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering a virtues-led curriculum.
  • Background in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Experience in leading or supporting extra-curricular activities.
  • Familiarity with using digital technology to enhance learning.
  • Experience in working within a multi-faith or inclusive educational setting.
