Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art and Photography lessons to students aged 11-16.
  • Develop engaging and innovative teaching resources and schemes of work.
  • Support student progression and achievement through individualised feedback and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and student outcomes.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure consistent improvement.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in Art and Photography education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching Art and Photography at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE and A Level curriculum design.
  • Demonstrable success in student attainment and progression.
  • Knowledge of digital photography and art software.
  • Experience working in a high-performing school environment.
