Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Use assessment effectively to support student progress and attainment
• Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement initiatives
• Support departmental development and mentor colleagues
• Maintain high expectations for student achievement, behaviour, and wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related subject
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Experience teaching the British Curriculum
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
• The ability to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking team

Preferred

• UK-trained and qualified teachers
• Native-level English proficiency
• Experience in an international school setting
• Proven record of strong student outcomes
• Previous middle leadership experience or leadership potential
