The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Support the Head of Department in the management of the English curriculum and staff.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Lead and mentor junior teachers, fostering a culture of professional growth and development.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s mission of "Excellence for All."
- Work closely with students, parents, and external partners to enhance the learning experience.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching English.
- Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff.
- Commitment to the school’s mission of "Excellence for All."
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-ethnic, coeducational school environment.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education and student welfare.
