English Leader of Learning (UAE/SEA) – remote UK position with international impact.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Leader of Learning to support our growing international online school. This role is a maternity cover for one year, offering the opportunity to teach students from the UAE, Southeast Asia, and the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the delivery of high-quality English education and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate students with purposeful subject knowledge and engaging teaching practices.
  • Ensure quality teaching is at the core of all learning experiences and professional activities.
  • Support the evaluation of the school’s effectiveness and contribute to improvement strategies.
  • Help maintain a high-quality learning environment and act as a role model for colleagues and students.
  • Promote the academic and personal development of students through guidance and support.
  • Provide timely assessments, reports, and references to ensure student progress is accurately reflected.
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance teaching practices.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders to ensure student success and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and student well-being.
  • Experience in teaching in primary, secondary, or college settings.
  • Familiarity with state or independent school environments.
  • Ability to create and enhance teaching resources for online delivery.
  • Proficiency in using technology for online teaching.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in student engagement and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
  • Background in continuous professional development and leadership.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Passion for online teaching and student development.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £36,000-£42,500.
