The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to Upper School students.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and well-managed learning environment.
  • Promote the welfare and wellbeing of students through positive behavior management.
  • Use ICT to enhance teaching and support student learning.
  • Analyze student data to inform teaching and improve student achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s extra-curricular program.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s educational goals.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and the wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching English at the Upper School level.
  • Graduate qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and work under pressure.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience in inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IGCSE and A Level English.
  • Experience working with EAL students.
  • Familiarity with the British education system.
  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement through clear goal setting.
