Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons that align with curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with Learning Enhancement Teachers to ensure individual student understanding and success.
- Foster meaningful relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth.
- Create interdisciplinary lessons that integrate English with other subjects such as drama and history.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay informed on the latest educational techniques.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative school community through teamwork and shared leadership.
- Guide students in developing strong language, reading, and writing skills.
- Support the school’s mission of academic excellence and intellectual pursuit.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in English or related field (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued).
- At least two years of experience as a lead teacher in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high academic standards and student achievement.
Preferred
- Experience with co-teaching models or collaborative instruction.
- Background in curriculum development or lesson planning.
- Experience with teaching students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Familiarity with international education standards and best practices.
