Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons that align with curriculum standards.
  • Collaborate with Learning Enhancement Teachers to ensure individual student understanding and success.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Create interdisciplinary lessons that integrate English with other subjects such as drama and history.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay informed on the latest educational techniques.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative school community through teamwork and shared leadership.
  • Guide students in developing strong language, reading, and writing skills.
  • Support the school’s mission of academic excellence and intellectual pursuit.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or related field (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued).
  • At least two years of experience as a lead teacher in a classroom setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high academic standards and student achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience with co-teaching models or collaborative instruction.
  • Background in curriculum development or lesson planning.
  • Experience with teaching students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and best practices.
