The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and smooth operation of examinations within the school. This is a vital position that supports the academic success of students and contributes directly to the school’s mission of delivering high-quality education. The role involves working during the main external examination period and throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth and fair administration of internal and external examinations.
- Monitor and enforce examination rules and regulations with professionalism and consistency.
- Maintain a calm, focused, and respectful environment for students during exams.
- Report any incidents or irregularities immediately to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of examination materials and venues.
- Support the invigilation team in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, teachers, and other staff members.
- Adhere to all safeguarding and security protocols during examination periods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible daytime hours during examination periods.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Experience in an invigilation or administrative role.
- Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection policies.
