The Opportunity:

As a Business Support Officer - SEND and Student Welfare, you will play a key role in supporting pupils, teachers, and stakeholders to ensure a positive and effective learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional business support services to pupils, teachers, and wider stakeholders.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service across all aspects of the school and Star community.
  • Use MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases, to support administrative functions.
  • Prioritise tasks efficiently and accurately, meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues and external partners to enhance service delivery.
  • Support the implementation of SEND and student welfare initiatives.
  • Assist in the management of school operations and organisational processes.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate records and data systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
  • Experience of working in an administrative setting.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work efficiently, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or education setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND and student welfare support practices.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience with database management systems.
