The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the exam process. This position ensures that exams are conducted in a secure and well-organized manner, contributing directly to the academic success of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the security of exam materials and the smooth running of exam rooms in accordance with external awarding body requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and organize administrative systems related to exams.
  • Support the exams officer in all aspects of exam administration.
  • Monitor and supervise students during exams to ensure compliance with exam rules.
  • Assist with the collection, storage, and distribution of exam papers and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with students and colleagues to maintain a professional and supportive environment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols during exam periods.
  • Assist with the preparation and setup of exam rooms prior to each session.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience of working with children aged 11-16 in an education setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic integrity.

Preferred

  • Experience in exam invigilation or similar administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with exam procedures and awarding body requirements.
  • Experience with educational software or administrative systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.85 – £13.05.
