The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of examinations. You will support students and staff while upholding strict examination board regulations. This is a key role in maintaining academic integrity and contributing to a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth and secure running of all examinations in line with examination board regulations.
- Supervise and support students during exams in a calm and professional manner.
- Monitor and report any irregularities or concerns during examination sessions.
- Collaborate with the exams team to maintain accurate records and follow-up procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and organisation of examination materials and venues.
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all students and staff.
- Adhere to all school and Trust policies, including safeguarding and equality standards.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance exam invigilation practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Ability to work as part of a team and support students and staff effectively.
- Understanding of and ability to implement examination board regulations.
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an exam invigilation role or similar educational support position.
- Experience with online or digital examination systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work across different exam periods and locations.
