The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role is pivotal in supporting teaching and learning, ensuring that students receive the highest quality of education. The successful candidate will contribute to a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and assessment of student work.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individual learning plans.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Support the school's wider educational and pastoral initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or learning support role.
  • A recognised Level 3 qualification in education or a related field.
  • Experience in working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting, particularly within a multi-academy trust.
  • Familiarity with current educational policies and best practices.
  • Experience with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
