The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is essential to supporting the school’s mission of providing a nurturing and inspiring educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all school areas, including classrooms, corridors, and common spaces.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Work flexible hours, including Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm, with the potential for alternative morning shifts.
  • Support the school in creating a welcoming and hygienic environment for all members of the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a cleaning role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with members of the public and students.
  • Good standard of spoken English.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a school or similar institution.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including potential morning shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning tasks.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary at Grade 1 SCP 2 (£23,656 per year).
  • 15 hours per week, with potential for alternative morning shift hours.
