The Opportunity:
As an Examinations Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating the administration of internal and external exams, ensuring compliance with awarding body rules and maintaining the integrity of all examinations. This is a vital position that supports the academic success of students and the smooth functioning of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the administration of internal and external exams in accordance with awarding body guidelines.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all examination processes and procedures.
- Work closely with invigilating and administrative teams to manage exam schedules and logistics.
- Maintain detailed records and reports related to examination activities.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Support the school in preparing for and administering exams during term time and examination result weeks.
- Provide guidance and support to staff and students regarding examination procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of examination processes and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in exam administration or a related field.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in managing deadlines and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Understanding of exam regulations and procedures.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of awarding body rules and procedures.
- Experience with exam invigilation or administration.
- Flexibility to work some hours remotely when appropriate.
- Experience in a Catholic or faith-based educational environment.
