The Opportunity:

As a People Partner (HR), you will play a key role in shaping the employee experience within a large and dynamic organisation. This is a senior, varied and fast-moving role that offers real autonomy and the opportunity to influence the future of the people function at a pivotal time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the Employee Experience team, ensuring effective workload and casework management.
  • Oversee complex caseloads, including investigations, formal hearings, and restructures.
  • Provide expert HR advice and challenge to senior leaders on employment law and best practices.
  • Support chairs at formal hearings and lead on TUPE and redundancy processes.
  • Develop and build capacity within the People Services team.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and organisational policies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and deliver the People Strategy.
  • Provide guidance and support to People Advisors and Administrators.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role with a focus on employee experience and people strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and provide expert advice to senior leaders.
  • Emotionally resilient and solutions-focused with a strong customer service ethos.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or large organisation.
  • Experience with TUPE, restructures, and redundancy processes.
  • Leadership experience within an HR team.
  • Knowledge of the education sector and school governance.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies.
