Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science education that engages and motivates students
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement
  • Participate in the development of new science facilities and teaching spaces
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and scientific inquiry skills
  • Engage in wider school activities and contribute to the school’s vision and values

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant science degree and QTS
  • Proven experience in teaching science at secondary level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a similar school setting

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods
  • Familiarity with modern science teaching resources and technology
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting
