The Opportunity:

As an Exams Administrator, you will support the exams team in delivering a seamless and compliant exam experience for students and staff. This role is critical to ensuring smooth exam operations across multiple sites and in line with awarding body requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Exams Office in processing exam entries and recording student achievements
  • Assist in the running and invigilation of external examinations, including online assessments
  • Ensure full compliance with Awarding Body and Group policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records using complex systems and centralised databases
  • Apply Data Protection principles consistently in all exam-related activities
  • Collaborate with the Exams Manager and other team members to deliver efficient and effective exam administration
  • Provide clear and professional communication with students, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and resolve administrative challenges to improve exam processes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in invigilating exams, including online assessments
  • Familiarity with Awarding Bodies’ administrative processes and regulations
  • Strong administrative skills with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven IT skills with experience using complex systems and databases
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of Data Protection principles
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a large educational institution

Preferred

  • Experience working in a further education college
  • Previous experience in exam administration or related roles
  • Knowledge of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and staff development initiatives
  • Experience with student progression and support systems
