The Opportunity:

A Lecturer in Motor Vehicle is required to deliver engaging and innovative lessons to learners across a range of qualifications. This role is ideal for someone passionate about inspiring the next generation of motor vehicle professionals and contributing to curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Entry Level to Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles.
  • Teach and assess both theory and practical components in alignment with awarding body standards.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to a diverse cohort of learners.
  • Design and deliver flexible, employer-responsive training programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body standards and requirements.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and quality improvement processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong links with employers and industry partners.
  • Support the growth of Motor Vehicle provision by promoting the school’s services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed) or willingness to achieve one.
  • Assessor award (A1 or equivalent) is essential.
  • Proven experience in delivering Motor Vehicle Engineering training and assessment.
  • Commitment to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • V1 Internal Verifier qualification.
  • Experience with curriculum development and course reviews.
  • Ability to design learner-centred teaching strategies and materials.
