The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Multi-Craft Technician to support practical learning in construction trades. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience and a passion for teaching technical skills in a dynamic, industry-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for practical classes, assessments, and exams
- Ensure the safety and accessibility of machines and tools for students
- Order, monitor, and manage tools and materials while maintaining and repairing equipment
- Assist teaching staff in monitoring students for safe working practices
- Organise and store equipment according to policy and dispose of waste materials safely
- Adapt to changes in course content and support the delivery of a wide range of construction-related skills
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment for students and staff
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade (e.g., Plumbing, Electrical, Brickwork, Wood Trades)
- Strong practical skills in multiple construction trades
- Good organisational skills and ability to adapt to changing course requirements
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a construction environment
- Experience working in a training or educational setting
Preferred
- Experience with teaching or assisting in technical education
- Familiarity with industry-standard construction equipment and tools
- Experience with curriculum development or course delivery
- Knowledge of modern construction techniques and materials
