The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a high-quality EYFS/KS1 curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to teaching and learning.
  • Support the development of students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote student progress and well-being.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure individual needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow school procedures and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in EYFS/KS1 education.
  • Strong knowledge of early years and Key Stage 1 curriculum requirements.
  • Experience of working in a co-educational setting.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in an independent or boarding school.
  • Familiarity with the extra-curricular ethos of the school, including sport and outdoor activities.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
  • A track record of delivering outstanding results and student engagement.
