Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Computer Science department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that is engaging, innovative, and aligned with the latest industry standards.
  • Motivate and support a team of teachers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • Deliver expert Computer Science instruction up to and including Key Stage 5.
  • Build strong relationships with students, inspiring a passion for learning and problem-solving.

  • Work closely with colleagues across the school to support student achievement and development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in line with safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach up to Key Stage 5.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and support staff and students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or team.
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge technology and its application in education.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
  • Background in education technology or computer science-related fields.
