The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Assistant to support the Sport and Boarding departments at a school committed to student development. This role offers hands-on experience in a vibrant school community, with the chance to contribute to the lives of students through sport and evening activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the PE department in delivering sport and physical education programs.
  • Collaborate with boarding staff to design and implement engaging evening activities for boarders.
  • Assist in organizing and managing sports events and competitions.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including pastoral care and student welfare.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to students in a variety of activities.
  • Ensure the smooth running of boarding activities and student engagement.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sport and other staff to maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recent graduate or currently studying for a degree.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for working with young people.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the values and ethos of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or working with children.
  • Knowledge of sports and physical education.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Understanding of boarding life and student welfare.
