The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Assistant to support the Sport and Boarding departments at a school committed to student development. This role offers hands-on experience in a vibrant school community, with the chance to contribute to the lives of students through sport and evening activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the PE department in delivering sport and physical education programs.
- Collaborate with boarding staff to design and implement engaging evening activities for boarders.
- Assist in organizing and managing sports events and competitions.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including pastoral care and student welfare.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to students in a variety of activities.
- Ensure the smooth running of boarding activities and student engagement.
- Work closely with the Director of Sport and other staff to maintain high standards of service.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Recent graduate or currently studying for a degree.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with young people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to the values and ethos of the school.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or working with children.
- Knowledge of sports and physical education.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Understanding of boarding life and student welfare.
