The Opportunity:

As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young learners’ early education experiences. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that support strong progress and create a secure, engaging learning environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver well-sequenced, high-quality lessons that enable all pupils to make strong progress.
  • Create a well-ordered, secure, and nurturing learning environment that supports all learners.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and support individual needs.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and those who are disadvantaged.
  • Work closely with school leaders to track progress and implement timely interventions.
  • Develop positive, professional relationships with parents and carers.
  • Contribute actively to phase and whole-school development and improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Secure subject and curriculum knowledge for EYFS.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to establish clear routines.
  • Ability to plan thoughtfully and teach with clarity and purpose.
  • Experience using assessment to inform teaching and support learning.
  • High expectations for all pupils academically and socially.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a professional team.
  • Commitment to reflective practice and continual professional growth.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in an inclusive setting and adapting provision for pupils with additional needs.
