Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and learning experiences to KS1 students.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom resources and activities.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent support and alignment with school values and curriculum goals.
  • Contribute to the organization and execution of school events and activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or educational support role, preferably within primary education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children aged 4 to 11.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curricula.
  • Experience in a school setting with a strong emphasis on personal development and creativity.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction.
