The Opportunity:

We are seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team and support the care and education of young children. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in a modern and inspiring early years setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the care and education of young children under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Contribute to play-based learning experiences that promote children’s development and well-being.
  • Assist with individual and small group activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Build positive relationships with children and support their personal care needs.
  • Prepare and maintain resources and equipment for daily activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social skills in line with school policies.
  • Observe, record, and report on children’s progress to the class teacher.
  • Work with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to support children’s learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young children in an early years setting.
  • Ability to support play-based learning and care routines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility to work within a team and adapt to changing environments.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly with children aged 3-5.
  • Knowledge of early years curricula and child development.
  • Experience with supporting children with disabilities or additional needs.
  • First aid and paediatric first aid qualifications.
  • Experience in delivering interventions or one-to-one support.
