The Opportunity:

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee the Hard and Soft Facilities Management services for two schools in Barnsley and Sheffield. This role offers the chance to lead site teams, manage maintenance processes, and ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate Hard and Soft Facilities Management services across two schools.
  • Supervise site teams and contractors to ensure all maintenance and cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Implement and oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, and statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and timelines for maintenance and facility projects.
  • Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to school operations.
  • Support the delivery of a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in managing site maintenance and facilities operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH, and statutory compliance.
  • Practical maintenance skills and understanding of basic site maintenance.
  • Experience in delivery and management of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Facilities Management software.

Preferred

  • Experience with IOSH, Legionella Awareness, Fire Door Inspection, and SFG20.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the needs of a dynamic and diverse educational environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £30,960 gross per annum.
