The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, while contributing to a forward-thinking curriculum that integrates mathematics with Computing, Sport Science, and Health. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding GCSE and A-Level Mathematics lessons with a focus on mixed attainment teaching.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Director and UTC staff to develop a centre of excellence in Health Science, Sports Science, and Computing.
  • Integrate mathematical concepts with technical and academic qualifications to enhance student learning.
  • Support the development and refinement of the school’s mathematics curriculum.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students aged 13–19.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure the success of the UTC’s employer-led, technology-rich educational model.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Familiarity with mixed attainment teaching methods.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to student success in a technical and academic environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in a University Technical College or similar institution.
  • Knowledge of Computing, Sport Science, or Health Science.
  • Experience in developing and refining curriculum models.
  • Background in employer-led education or technology-rich learning environments.
  • Newly qualified teachers with strong potential for development.
