The Opportunity:

As a Finance Administrator - Accounts Payable, you will play a key role in managing the school's financial processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of accounts receivable. This is a vital position that supports the smooth operation of the school and directly impacts the experience of families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support for the school's Accounts Receivable function.
  • Act as the first point of contact with parents regarding unpaid invoices, issuing reminders and exploring support options.
  • Monitor aged debt and escalate issues through appropriate channels in a timely manner.
  • Support data entry, reporting, and documentation related to incoming invoice payments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and centralised finance teams to ensure accurate financial reconciliation.
  • Prepare financial data and reports for senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records, manage filing, and process routine documentation efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in an administrative role managing sensitive conversations.
  • Strong communication skills, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion.
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database input.

Preferred

  • Experience in financial administration or using finance systems such as Xero and ParentPay.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £15,000 per annum.
  • 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Permanent position with 52 weeks of work per year.
