The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students across all key stages, with a focus on Key Stage 5.
  • Create engaging and challenging learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Prepare, mark, and maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new initiatives, policies, and resources that enhance teaching and learning.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and other staff to support student behaviour, welfare, and academic success.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school environment, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Physics at Key Stage 5.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to student welfare and a belief in the potential of every child.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
  • Background in curriculum development or leadership within a school setting.
  • Experience with extracurricular activities or student mentoring.
