The Opportunity:

As a Finance Manager, you will oversee all financial operations of a school in Dubai, ensuring strong financial controls, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning. This role is crucial to the school’s strategic and operational success, providing timely financial insights and managing the finance team efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accurate recording of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget utilization.
• Analyze variances and provide recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, VAT requirements, and audit standards.
• Manage and supervise the finance team, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and working capital requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Support long-term financial planning aligned with the school’s strategic goals.
• Provide financial advice to leadership and other departments for operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and UAE VAT regulations.
• Proven experience managing and leading a finance team.

Preferred

• Master’s degree or professional certification in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience within the education sector or a similar organization.
• Proficient in financial systems, ERP/accounting software, and MS Excel.
