The Opportunity:
As a Football Coach, you will play a key role in shaping the future of young athletes at a school renowned for its exceptional sports programme. You will lead teams, deliver high-quality coaching, and contribute to a dynamic, high-performing department that consistently achieves outstanding results in national competitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality coaching to pupils of all abilities, from beginners to senior players.
- Lead and manage school football teams, planning and delivering effective training sessions and match preparation.
- Support individual player development by tailoring coaching to meet their needs and abilities.
- Provide constructive feedback on performance, selection, and progression in an age-appropriate manner.
- Support pupils before, during, and after fixtures, tournaments, and events.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the football programme, including setup, organisation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are safe, suitable, and match-ready.
- Follow and promote safeguarding, health, and safety procedures at all times.
- Monitor, mentor, and report on pupils when required, supporting their overall development.
- Contribute to the delivery of other sports where needed, working collaboratively within a large, dynamic team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in coaching football at a youth or school level.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for developing young athletes and inspiring them to achieve their potential.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Coaching qualifications or certifications.
- Experience with national or regional competition programmes.
- Knowledge of sports development and player progression.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly rate from £20 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience).
