As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping young minds and inspiring a passion for science. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the AQA GCSE and A Level syllabi.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science and Technology Department to enhance teaching and learning.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including co-curricular activities and pastoral care.
- Support students in developing a strong understanding of scientific concepts and their real-world applications.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science specialism.
- Proven experience in Science teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to student progress and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience with AQA GCSE and A Level Science qualifications.
- Ability to teach multiple Science subjects.
- Experience in using digital learning tools in Science education.
- Involvement in co-curricular activities related to Science.
