As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping young minds and inspiring a passion for science. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to specialise in your area of expertise. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the AQA GCSE and A Level syllabi.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science and Technology Department to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including co-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Support students in developing a strong understanding of scientific concepts and their real-world applications.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Science specialism.
  • Proven experience in Science teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to student progress and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience with AQA GCSE and A Level Science qualifications.
  • Ability to teach multiple Science subjects.
  • Experience in using digital learning tools in Science education.
  • Involvement in co-curricular activities related to Science.
