We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design and Technology Teacher (RMT Specialist) to join a school with an outstanding Ofsted rating. This role offers the chance to shape student learning and deliver high-quality RMT education to GCSE level, with a strong focus on student engagement and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality RMT lessons to students at GCSE level
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department
  • Support students to achieve their full potential through differentiated instruction and inclusive practices
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the safeguarding and welfare of young people
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s commitment to continuous improvement
  • Stay up to date with current industry practices and integrate them into the curriculum
  • Work closely with senior leaders to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and values
  • Provide regular feedback to students to support their learning and development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in RMT at GCSE level
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and student welfare
  • Strong understanding of how students learn and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leadership

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation
  • Familiarity with the latest RMT industry trends and technologies
  • Experience with the Early Career Framework (ECF) programme
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
