The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design and Technology Teacher (RMT Specialist) to join a school with an outstanding Ofsted rating. This role offers the chance to shape student learning and deliver high-quality RMT education to GCSE level, with a strong focus on student engagement and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality RMT lessons to students at GCSE level
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department
- Support students to achieve their full potential through differentiated instruction and inclusive practices
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the safeguarding and welfare of young people
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s commitment to continuous improvement
- Stay up to date with current industry practices and integrate them into the curriculum
- Work closely with senior leaders to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and values
- Provide regular feedback to students to support their learning and development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in RMT at GCSE level
- Commitment to equal opportunities and student welfare
- Strong understanding of how students learn and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Experience in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leadership
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation
- Familiarity with the latest RMT industry trends and technologies
- Experience with the Early Career Framework (ECF) programme
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
