The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspirational KS5 Physics Coordinator to lead and develop the Physics curriculum for Key Stage 5. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student outcomes and to be part of a highly successful and supportive teaching team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Key Stage 5 Physics curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote student achievement and progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school
  • Support students in reaching their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance to ensure continuous improvement
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, equal opportunities, and safeguarding
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider school community

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Physics at Key Stage 5
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics and the ability to teach across the 11-19 age range
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a curriculum area
  • Commitment to student achievement, inclusion, and safeguarding
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in a school with an outstanding Ofsted rating
  • Interest in innovative teaching methods and technologies
