Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Key Stages, up to and including A Level.
  • Deliver an inspiring and academic curriculum that fosters a love for learning.
  • Support the development of students’ scientific knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of departmental initiatives and extra-curricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Take the initiative in developing and implementing innovative teaching practices.
  • Promote the school’s Catholic ethos and values within the classroom and wider school community.
  • Participate in professional development and leadership training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A well-qualified graduate with experience teaching Science to Key Stage 4.
  • Ability to teach Science to A Level.
  • A track record of delivering excellent student outcomes.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent classroom management and teaching skills.
  • A willingness to contribute to the department and wider school community.

Preferred

  • Experience in leadership or middle leadership roles.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities or pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with Catholic values and ethos.
  • Experience in using innovative teaching methods and technologies.
