Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and implement best practices in teaching French.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic outcomes and developing language skills.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering confidence, creativity, and leadership in students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through a range of assessment methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in French.
  • Experience of teaching French at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Familiarity with curriculum developments and best practice in language teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching A Level French.
  • Experience of working in a high-achieving, inclusive school environment.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and support for students with special educational needs.
  • Experience of leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
